Food recalls – Solid Gold

Again, feeding fresh food avoids these problems. Companies are now being super careful – there was no salmonella found in the Solid Gold food, only at the plant where it was processed, so even if you fed the food you are probably ok.

The best source (though sometimes a few weeks behind) is a government one. You can search by species or brand.

Recently Solid Gold recalled one batch of Solid Gold WolfCub Large Breed Puppy Food and one batch of Solid Gold WolfKing Large Breed Adult Dog. Both batches feature a “best before” date of December 30, 2012, and an “X” in the 11th digit of the production code.

Other Solid Gold recipes, sizes and brands are not affected by the recall.
