At the World of Pets Expo in timonium this weekend (3rd day today) I met with Doreen, a client of mine. She has some great new products. One is the AnimAlarm – read more at her site

While I would never recommend leaving an animal in a parked car, there may be emergency times or camping trips where that needs to be done. If you have the AnimAlarm, a sensor is left in the car (out of reach of the dog) and it alerts your phone as to the temperature.

This is also a great product for kennels or stables (private or commercial) which would warn of temperatures that are too low or too high for the comfort of the animals.

Again, I strongly suggest not using this new tool as an excuse to leave your dog in the car, but it is a marvelous safeguard in emergency situations.
