Jerky dog treats still causing illnesses

No one brand is causing the digestive symptoms of decreased appetite, increased water intake, vomiting or diarrhea.

While some of the treats were made in China, others made in the US may have ingredients from China, or it may be something totally different. I would recommend feeding fresh food treats, making your own dehydrated treats or buying from a small compay where you have spoken with the owners.

The Humane Society keeps a running list of recalled pet food and treats on its website.

If your cat or dog has become ill and may have consumed a toxic jerky treat, please report it to the FDA by calling 1-888-INFO-FDA.
