Veterinary Nutritionists

Dr. Doug Knueven posted on his blog – I have spoken with many veterinary nutritionists over the years. In 2010, I
spent two days with a nutritionist who teaches at a US veterinary college, as
part of an intensive, one-on-one veterinary nutrition course. She indicated to
me that nutrition plays a very small role in the management of sick pets
compared to that […]

My experience is that we now have some nutritionists ( Dr. Meg Smart at the Western University of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan is a great example) who are promoting and beginning to research with an open mind a variety of diets.

The american holistic veterinary medical foundation is funding a lot of research, some of which may be on nutrition. Send in your animal’s healing story to the site and contribute to further research!!
