Resource for Stranded Horses

the Humane Society of the United States has started a great program to help horses displaced by natural disasters – Safe Stalls Horse Rescue Network. You can volunteer, or let your local rescue group or equine foster home know to volunteer as a resource. The program will provide other care as well – farriers, dentists, transport, trainers, veterinarians.

If you have holistic skills with horses (Reiki, HTA, TTouch, flower essences, etc) it would be wonderful to become part of this network.

Roy Halladay, star pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies, and his wife, Brandy, are  spearheaded the Safe Stalls initiative after adopting a rescued horse.
